I have photographed Weddings at many locations over the years, but Debra and Jim’s Wedding at the beautiful country town of Boonah was a first for me. (located on the Scenic Rim, about an hours drive from Brisbane)

(funny note – Mum, Jonah and I had taken a drive out there in the week prior to the Wedding and nearly got trampled by cows! True story )

Debra had chosen the delightful Brook Cottage as her getting-ready location – it has such character. Everywhere you looked there was something else to discover. It reminded me of a smaller version of my Grandparents old house.

The Ceremony was held at Bartons Rose Farm. It was so perfect – peaceful and quiet. I think it would have to rate as one of my favourite “outdoor” locations for a Wedding.

Rachael and Daniel had carefully planned their Wedding on the Gold Coast from Interstate.
An intimate Ceremony for themselves and their 4 year old son, Andre.
A few family members decided that they just couldn’t miss such a special event, and flew in specially to join them
They were absolutely bursting with pride and there were no dry eyes during the Ceremony.

It truly was a pleasure to meet such a lovely family. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon.

Unfortunately, we weren’t living up to our description of the Sunshine State and we woke on the morning of the Wedding to RAIN.
Not the best environment to conduct a beach wedding.
Thankfully, Sea World Nara Resort came to our rescue, allowing us to hold the Ceremony at the Resort.
(We can’t speak highly enough of the Nara and the way that they helped us)
Amazingly, the rain cleared just before the Ceremony and we were able to make our way to the nearby beach for some beautiful portraits.

I think this is one of my favourite Ceremony photos This is just after they had shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

Speaking of dolls, here is another gorgeous baby – coincidentally, her name is also Ava.
She is 7 months old and such a happy girl.
It was a struggle to keep her thumb out of her mouth (sometimes she had both thumbs in at once)
