a year in review…

26/1/2009

*somebody* had been pressuring me to finish this post, so here’s some more (finally) :)

For the last few years, I’ve always done “A year in review” showcasing some of my favourite images from each session of the year.
I’ve gone through my files for 2008 and I’ve decided that it was a huuugee year and I’m just going to choose one or two from each month :)

October 2008
Pretty-as-a-Princess Lacey with her brothers Kyle and Dylan.
A wonderful family who travelled from interstate to have their session.

Also in October, I was lucky enough to meet Baby Beau
He’s doing okay, but I know his Mummy & Dadddy would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

September 2008
In September I photographed the adorable Mischa and family. She was an absolute dream!

I got side-tracked from this as we moved things around at home (external harddrives were all unplugged), but back to it – here’s
July/August 2008

Sweet little Michaela on the left and the adorable Phillip on the right. (still one of my favourite family photos)

June 2008
One of my favourite Maternity sessions at the beach – such a beautiful location…and Nathan and Jane are so cute! :)

My first twin Christening! The babies were adorable and the details – amazing! Their family had gone to so much trouble and everything looked wonderful.

May 2008
I visited the AEIOU centre to capture some candid portraits of the kids. I was so happy with the photos, but especially this one of Rainer.

April 2008
Beautiful Brielle. These photos were part of a family session – I was so happy that she bought along this outfit for some photos at the end – so cute! I particually love the bruised shins and the toenail polish :)

March 2008
One of my favourite weddings! Shaun and Juanita were such a pleasure to photograph.
I’d noticed the Bougainvillea arches when we got together before the Wedding and knew I wanted to photograph them on the day. I was so happy to capture it exactly how I’d imagined it in my mind.

February 2008
Two full-of-beans boys who made me work :) Got them running and jumping..and soon they were happy to do anything I asked. Loved their photos.

January 2008
I was actually still on Maternity leave. In October I made the decision to take three months off work – by January I was dying to take photos again!
I’d invested in a new camera and I was putting it to good use photographing the kids at various locations.

I’ll keep adding to this post over the next week

Kathryn – “now you need some colourful OTT picnic party photos – think Fancy Nancy.
If you don’t know Fancy Nancy, you need to google. Very photo worthy.”

I had to google – love it! How funny – Jan F suggested something along those lines a couple of months ago. I told her we’d have to plan something – she thought she might know a few little girls who’d love to be involved :)
