It was hard to narrow Hayley’s photos down to just a few for the blog – loved them all

This is the ultimate form of toddler-torture. A lolly machine that doesn’t actually deliver the goods LOL
The jelly beans are all stuck together due to humidity and don’t actually fall out of the opening. I really should buy some real gumballs for it.

side note – I’m still on lifting/carrying restrictions, so I buckled the gumball machine (it’s heavy!) into Aria’s stroller and wheeled it around for the session LOL

I’ve debated over posting this here, but it’s no secret and I know a lot of you a curious as to what’s been happening with me.

In early July, I was diagnosed with a Carotid Artery Dissection, which in turn caused Horners Syndrome. I’ve also been found to have IIH which may or may not be related to the Artery Dissection.
Obviously to get those diagnosis’s it involved many, many doctor/specialist appointments, 2 weeks in hospital, a lot of fear and a lot of tears. My vision was affected, I lost most of my hearing, I had 6 lumbar puncture attempts (traumatic) and then experienced an adverse reaction to the LP which forced me to remain flat for five days in a constant state of dizziness and nausea, not moving or able to tolerate light.

Physically, I am healing. I have to take things slow, rest plenty, no lifting. I’m on a lot of medication and am still undergoing a tonne of tests to determine WHY this happened in the first place. (All tests have been coming back with good results)
I’m seeing an awesome GP who is trying to keep me (hopefully) sane through all of this. Emotionally I am a wreck. (hard for me to admit that)

I cancelled all of my work for August and will take September as it comes.
I wanted to put this here so you can have an understanding of what I’ve been through. I have a lot of people waiting for photos and they have all been amazingly patient and I truly thank them for that.

The recent double-page spread of the Face of Noo Winner in the Soap World Magazine (August 2010 issue)
Didn’t it look fantastic! A huge credit to the judges – they couldn’t have chosen a better winner, Travis was an absolute star and it was so exciting for me to see all of my photographs in print.

I truly love photographing Commercial sessions, but the hardest part is the waiting time between photographing and image release
The gorgeous models from this day have been very patient in waiting to see some images – I think (hope) they’ll agree it was worth it.

The delightful range is Miss Tikiboo, a limited edition collection by the talented TikiBoo Kids
I fell in love with the wrap-around skirts….I’m almost certain my sister and I wore something similar when we were little. Too cute.

I had started working on this blog post before I became sick, so it feels good that I can finally finish this post and share some of these gorgeous photos.

This is baby Sienna who I photographed in her home. I set up beside a large window and she was more than happy to let me do my thing.
(of course it didn’t hurt that she’d had an unsettled night and was very sleepy )

I photographed this family recently and they were such great children. Very well mannered and happy to do anything I asked them to.
It was a chilly Winter morning, but the sun was shining and it was a lovely, clear day – perfect for photos in the park!

Recently I had the great pleasure of photographing the Wedding of Lizzie and Joel at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.
We’d had a little rain in the week before, but the day was a beautiful, clear Winter’s day with hardly a cloud in the sky.
